British III Corps is ordered to capture Armentieres, repair bridges over the Lys, and prepare for an advance towards Lille.

Race to the Sea: Battle of Le Bassee

British learn that the German cavalry corps they have been facing are being withdrawn, but are unaware that the cavalry is being replaced by infantry from the German VII Corps.
