German troops have returned to the starting point for their offensive on the Vistula. They have lost 40,000 men and Silesia is now vulnerable to Russian attack,
War in the Air
RNAS carries out one of the earliest bombing of the war, attacking a railway junction at Cambrai. Amongst the aircraft is RAF R.E.5 No.26 with the furture Air Chief Marshal Sir Arthur Longmore at the controls.
