War at Sea
The Wickes class destroyer USS Little (DD-79) is commissioned. She serves with the Patrol Force, Coast of France, during the rest of the First World War.
The Wickes class destroyer USS Fairfax (DD-93) is commissioned. She escorts convoys in the Western Atlantic and along the US East Coast during the rest of the First World War.
The Coln class light cruiser SMS Rostock is launched. She is never commissioned and is broken up in 1922.
