War at Sea
British naval forces are mobilised in an attempt to intercept the German ships that have bombarded Yarmouth (including the cruiser SMS Blucher). Amongst them is are the cruiser HMS Arethusa and the battleship HMS Queen.
HMS Indefatigable carries out a ten minute long range bombardment of the Turkish forts at the entrance to the Dardanelles in the hope that the Turks will decide not to enter the war on the German side.
