August von Mackensen begins to clear his troops out of Romania, but remains in Bucharest himself.

Germany

Wilhelm Groener, who has replaced Ludendorrf as effective head of the German Army, comes to an agreement with Ebert, head of the new Republic. Groener agrees to support the Republic if Ebert helps preserve the Officer corps.
