Siege of Przemysl

The failure of the Austro-Hungarian winter offensive of 1915 leaves the garrison isolated. After a final sortie the Austrian garrison surrenders to the Russians.

The Russians only hold the fortress until 3 June when the Austro-German victory at Gorlice-Tarnow forces them to abandon it.

Eastern Front

Felix Graf von Bothmer is given command of Corps Bothmer, a unit raised to help defend the passes of the Carpathian Mountains against Russian attacks that directly threatened Hungary.
