Dardanelles

Allied battleships bombard the Turkish fortifications at the Dardanelles. HMS Albion and HMS Triumph bombard Dardanos while HMS Majestic and HMS Ocean attack the Turkish mobile guns. Results are disappointing.

On the night of 1-2 March a force of minesweepers supported by HMS Amethyst make some progress in an attempt to clear the straits.
