Second day of Battle of Epehy, puts the British in a better position for the attack on the Hindenburg Line.
The main Allied attack begins. A 15 minute artillery bombardment begins at 4.30am and the infantry then overwhelm the outnumbered Turks at the coastal end of the front line. The first and second Turkish lines are broken on the first day of the battle, allowing the cavalry to break into the Turkish rear area. By the end of the day the cavalry is at the edge of the Plain of Esdraelon.
