Third Battle of Yypes: Second Battle of Passchendaele

The 3rd and 4th Canadian Divisions make a second attempt to capture Passchendaele Ridge, but once again are stopped by the mud and heavy German fire. Some Canadian troops reach the edge of Passchendaele village, which falls on 6 November.
