Battle of Verdun

Early in the morning the French launch a counterattack to try and rescue the besieged garrison of Fort Vaux. The attack fails, and Commandant Raynal and the few survivors of the garrison are forced to surrender.

The Germans have now cleared the way for an attack on the last ridgeline between them and Verdun.

War in the Air

Fokker D.I passes tests to prove that improvements have been made to the design and an order is placed for 80 aircraft.
