Gallipoli

Second naval attempt to force the Dardanelles. The main Turkish gun batteries are overpowered and landing parties disable the guns at Kum Kale and Sedd-el-Bahr. Turkish mobile gun batteries remain in action blocking attempts to clear the minefields.

HMS Queen Elizabeth takes part in the bombardment, with HMS Dublin acting as her spotter.

The attacking force includes HMS Albion, used to protect minesweepers and HMS Vengeance.

War at Sea

Canopus class battleship HMS Goliath is repaired and sets sail from the Cape, heading to German East Africa.
