Second battle of the Masurian Lakes (or Winter Battle in Masuria)

German Tenth Army has advanced nearly fifty miles and achieved most of its original targets. Having advanced east to get behind the Russian lines the army is now facing south, with the Russian XX, XXVI and III Siberian Corps all in danger of being trapped. The Russian III Corps has already escaped to the east.

War at Sea

Canadian division crosses the channel to France, escorted by a naval force that includes the cruiser HMS Undaunted.
