Eighth Air Force Heavy Bomber Mission No. 20: 63 aircraft dispatched to attack U-boat bases at St. Nazaire. 35 reach the target. Another six aircraft dispatched to attack airfield at Cherbourg/ Maupertuis, none attack the target. No aircraft lost.
