The Potez 639 AB2 was a two-seat attack bomber ordered as part of an order for ten evaluation aircraft in the Potez 63 family. The original order included two Potez 633 B2 two-seat light bombers, but when this order was confirmed in December 1937 one of the light bombers was replaced by a low-level light ground attack bomber, the Potez 639 AB2. One prototype was completed, but the type didn't enter production.
