The Morane-Saulnier M.S.140S was a biplane air ambulance designed to carry a single stretcher patient. It was a two bay biplane with staggered swept back wings and a wide track divided landing gear. The pilot sat in an open cockpit just under the upper wing trailing edge. The aircraft was powered by an 80hp Le Rhône 9C rotary engine, an unusual choice for an aircraft of the late 1920s. The patient was carried in a long compartment built into the fuselage behind the pilot, accessed via a long hinged panel. Glass windows were built into the fuselage to give the patient some natural light. The M.S.140S wasn't accepted for production and neither was the M.S.141S, which was powered by a 120hp Salmson 9Ac radial engine.
