The Lioré-et-Olivier LeO 456 was a short-lived designation for a special naval version of the LeO 451 medium bomber. One prototype LeO 456 was completed, and was tested by the French naval aviation service (the Aéronavale). By this point it had been redesignated as the LeO 451M (Marine), but when after the outbreak of the Second World War the Aéronavale placed a production order it was for 68 standard LeO 451s. These were to be delivered between June and November 1940.
