Bloch MB.212

The Bloch MB.212 was the designation given to the prototype Bloch 211 four-seat night bomber after its inline engines were replaced with Hispano-Suiza air-cooled radial engines during 1936. The Bloch 211 was been powered by two 860hp Hispano-Suiza 12Ybrs inline engines when it made its maiden flight on 16 April 1935, but the inline engines didn't provide any increase in performance over the Gnôme & Rhône radials used on the Bloch 210. During 1936 the Bloch 211 was re-engined with Hispano-Suiza 15Aa01/02 radial engines, and redesignated as the Bloch 212. As with the Bloch 211 this version of the aircraft was not entered into production.
