The Atlantic XHB-2 was a large twin-engine monoplane bomber designed by Antony Fokker’s American subsidiary Atlantic Aircraft. It was designed to satisfy an Army Air Corps specification, but like the similar Huff-Daland XHB-3 the Atlantic XHB-2 was too radical for the leadership of the Air Corps, and the aircraft never progressed beyond the design stage. The XHB-2 would have been a big aircraft, with a wingspan of 108ft 4in that would have made it 5ft wider and nearly 4ft longer than the B-17 Flying Fortress.
