Sexton Mk I at Ecouche, August 1944
Here we see the 25pdr SP, tracked, Sexton Mk I, a self propelled gun that carried the British 25-pounder, and that saw service in Italy and during Operation Overlord and the campaign in north-western Europe, in the village of Ecouche, Normandy. The Mk I had the angular hull of the Canadian Ram tank, while the Mk II had the cast hull of Canadian built Shermans.
