Front view of North American B-25Js, China, 491st Bombardment Squadron

Here we see a front view of two solid nosed North American B-25Js of the 491st Bombardment Squadron, probably at their base at Yangkai in China. On the first aircraft we can see the pointed gun nose that could be used in place of the glazed bombardier's nose, and two gun packs on the left of the fuselage.

These pictures come from the collection of Sydney Lester, who served as a Staff Sergeant in the 491st Bombardment Squadron (341st Bombardment Group). Many thanks to his son Ron Lester for providing us with this pictures.
