War in the Air
The prototype Airco D.H.2 is recorded on the strenght of No.5 Squadron on the Western Front at the start of a short period of front line service.
War at Sea
End of a four day raid into the Skagerrak conduced by eight light cruisers and twenty destroyers and supported by the 2nd Battle Cruiser Squadron (commanded by Rear-Admiral Pakenham, HMAS Australia). The aim was to find the German fishing fleet, but only one trawler is encountered.
