The Morane-Saulnier M.S.301 was the second in the series of prototypes that led to the successful M.S.315 trainer. The M.S.300 of 1930 was first in the series and was powered by a 95hp Salmson engine. The M.S.301 appeared in either 1930 or 1931 and used a 100hp Lorraine 5Pa engine. It was followed by the obscure M.S.302 and then by the M.S.315 itself.
