Curtiss XP-19

The Curtiss XP-19 was to have been a low-wing monoplane powered by the Wright V-1560-1 twelve-cylinder air cooled engine. In 1930 the Army allocated XP-19 to a monoplane powered by the new engine and XP-18 to a new biplane using the same power plant. The V-1560 engine failed to appear, and work on the XP-19 never really got under way before the entire project was cancelled.
