The Ago C.VIII was a modified version of the unsuccessful Ago C.IV, but with a modified tail and a more powerful 260hp Mercedes D.IVa engine.
Like the Ago C.VII, the C.VIII had new equal chord wings, replacing the tapered wings of the C.IV. It was a two bay biplane, with two sets of two struts for each wing (the C.IV only had one strut in the inner position). The struts were linked by steel strips instead of bracing wires. The tail surfaces were slightly modified compared to the C.VII.
It is likely that only one prototype was produced (possibly by modifying the C.VII). No performance figures have survived.
