Peace treaty that ended the Kalmar War (1611-1613) between Denmark and Sweden, mediated by James I of England. Denmark gained control of Finnmark, in the far north, while Älvsborg was returned to Sweden in return for a 1,000,000 riksdaler ransom, paid directly to Christian of Denmark. The ransom had been paid by 1619.
