Battle of Tinchebrai, 28 September 1106

Battle in which Henry I, king of England, defeated Robert II Curthose, duke of Normandy, his older brother, who was imprisoned for life after the battle. Henry's victory reestablished the link between England and Normandy first established in 1066.
