Battle of Halidon Hill, 19 July 1333
In an attempt to relieve the English siege of Berwick, the Scots, led by the Guardian of Scotland, Sir Archibald Douglas, attacked the English forces. They were defeated, and Douglas was killed, along with five Scottish earls. Berwick surrendered after the battle.
