Battle of Dupplin Muir, 11 August 1332
Battle between Edward Balliol, son of John Balliol, deposed King of Scotland and the earl of Mar, guardian of the realm during the minority of David II, the son of Robert the Bruce. Balliol was victorious and was able to declare himself King of Scotland, although he was only able to hold on to the throne for three months.
