No.691 Squadron was an anti-aircraft co-operation squadron that served in the south-west of England from its formation late in 1943 until it was disbanded in 1949.

The squadron was formed from No.1623 Flight at Roborough in December 1943, and inherited that flight's mix of Defiants, Hurricanes and Oxfords. The Oxfords remained until 1949, but the Defiants went in April 1945 and the Hurricanes in August 1945. In January 1944 the squadron gained some Barracudas, in April 1945 it was given some Vultee Vengeance dive bombers. In August 1945 the Martinet and Spitfire arrived and finally in November 1945 the Harvard was introduced. When the squadron disbanded in December 1949 it was using Oxfords, Martinets, Spitfires and Harvards.
