No.513 Squadron was a heavy bomber squadron that was formed and disbanded during 1943, never becoming operational. The squadron was formed on 15 September 1943, and was to be a Stirling squadron. The first of its bombers arrived in October, but it was then decided to increase the size of the Stirling conversion units. The squadron’s aircraft were needed for this role instead, and the squadron was disbanded on 21 November 1943
