Raid 26 took place on 31 March 1945, and was originally intended to hit an ammo dump, but cloud hit that target, so the formation hit their second target instead, marshalling yards at Coneglia.

Raid 27 was an attack on an ammo dump near Malcontenta near Venice on 1 April 1945. Other squadrons hit their target causing a large fire that Gay reports, but his own bombing was a 'lemon', missing to the right of the target.

Many thanks to Martin Hampton, the son in law of Lt. Gay, for sending us this material. These pages come from Gay's own private notebook which began with similar infomation to his flight log, but became more detailed, and also included a number of interesting items that had been pasted in.
