Vickers Wellington I
This picture shows the Vickers Wellington I, with its unfamiliar Vickers nose turret, soon replaced by the more familiar Frazer Nash turrets. The aircraft is seen just before taking off to take part in the type's first raid of the war, an attack on the Kiel Canal on 4 September 1939.
