Commodore Reginald Tyrwhitt (1870-1951)

Commodore R Tyrwhitt (as seen here) commanded the light forces on the East Coast during the First World War, leading them at the battle of Heligoland Bight in 1914 and at the Battle of Dogger Bank in 1915. He later rose to be Admiral of the Fleet, and when he retired in 1933 was the last flag officer of the First World War still in service.
