Fairey Swordfish over Convoy RA 57
Here we see a Fairey Swordfish from HMS Chaser patrolling over Convoy RA 57. This was the return convoy associated with Convoy JW 57, the first of the Arctic convoys to be accompanied by an aircraft carrier. Two U-boats were sunk during while attacking JW 57 and three attacking RA 57, making the Chaser's debut a great success.
