Monococque Sopwith Snail from the right

Here we see the second prototype of the Sopwith 8F.1 Snail (C4288) from the right, showing the full length of its plywood monococque fuselage. The Snail used an ABC Wasp radial engine, which can be seen emerging from holes in the fixed cowling, but this engine proved to be unreliable and only the two prototypes were built.
