Sherman crossing Albert Canal

Sherman crossing Albert Canal
Here we see a Sherman tank crossing over the Albert Canal (probably at Beringen, using a bridge built by the Germans in 1940 and repaired by the British in 1944). This is still close to the front line, so the bridge is being defended by Dutch troops from the Princess Irene Regiment as well as an anti-tank gun.
