This illustration shows the Schwerer Panzerfunkwagen Sd.Kfz 263 (8-rad) , the command version of the Sd.Kfz 261 (8.rad) heavy armoured car. This version lacked the turret of the normal armoured car and the similar Schwerer Panzerspahwagen (FU) Sd.Kfz 232 (8.rad) and instead had an enlarged superstructure to give more space for its crew of four.
