Carrier Ryujo from the left
Here we see the light aircraft carrier Ryujo, built in an attempt to take advantage of a loophole in the Washington Naval Treaty on 1922 that didn't classify ships of under 10,000t as aircraft carriers. Her small size can be judged by the size of the crewmen who can just about be made out around the two biplanes and on the low bow area.
