Soviet POWs liberated from the Eselheide POW camp
Here we see the joy of liberation for the surviving Soviet POWs at the Eselheide POW camp (Stalag VI-K or Stalag 326). At least 30,000 Soviet prisoners died in the camp, but sadly their return home would often not be as happy as they were expecting.
