Ruined Street in Saint Lo, 1944
Here we see a ruined street somewhere in Saint Lo, after the city fell to the Americans in July 1944. Many communities in Normandy suffered heavy damaging during the fighting in 1944, so sadly this wasn't an unusual sight.
