Damaged rocket site, Pas-de-Calais
The wartime caption calls this a possible long range rocket site in the Pas-de-Calais, attack on 17 and 20 July 1944. That almost certainly makes this part of the massive complex at d'Helfeut-Wizernes, but with the famous concrete dome not shown. The raid on 17 July included 617 Squadron with it's Tallboy bombs and blocked most of the entrance tunnels into the dome. The site was abandoned without ever entering service.
