Plans of Moltke Class Battlecruisers
These plans show the Moltke class battlecruisers, a significant improvement on the first German battlecruiser SMS Von de Tann. The Moltke class ships had a much larger forecastle deck, which extended for almost three quarters of the ship. As a result four of her five twin turrets could be mounted on the forecastle deck, and the battery of 5.9in secondary guns could be mounted on the main deck, keeping them well clear of the water.
