Plans of Illinois Class Pre-Dreadnought Battleships
These plans show the Illinois class pre-dreadnought battleships of 1898, the only class of American battleships to have their funnels side by side. They introduced modern gun turrets for their four 13in guns, and carried their fourteen 6in guns in a mix of casemates and a battery on the upper deck.
