Plans of Duncan Class Battleships

Plans of Duncan Class Battleships
These plans show the Duncan class battleships, a classic 'pre-dreadnought' type. They were armed with four 12in guns in twin turrets and ten 6in guns, five on each side. Four were carried in barbettes one deck below the main guns and one on the same level as the main gun, just to the side of the bridge. They were originally produced in responce to a scare about Russian battleships construction, and were lighter versions of the Formidable class, with less armour to allow them to reach higher speeds.
