Here we see front, below and side plans of the Petlyakov Pe-8 heavy bomber, showing the long tapered wings and the difference in size between the inner engine nacelles which contained the main landing gear and the smaller outer nacelles. The aircraft was originally called the TB-7, but the designation was changed after the death of its chief design in a plane crash in 1942.
