New Orleans class cruiser firing
Here we see a New Orleans class heavy cruiser firing it's main guns. The rear turret had fired most recently, leaving a smoke cloud, but the two forward turrets are also aiming in the same direction. Also note the float from the aircraft taking the picture, just visible in the top right of the picture.
