Nakajima B5N 'Kate' attacking USS South Dakota
Here we see a Nakajima B5N 'Kate' attacking the USS South Dakota (BB-57) at the battle of the Santa Cruz Islands (26 October 1942). The South Dakota was damaged during the battle, but the most significant damage came from a bomb that hit one of her turrets.
