Here we see British troops mopping up in Argenta, which to the Allies on 17 April 1945 during Operation Buckland, the battle of the Argenta Gap. After breaking through the gap, the British 8th Army was able to advance onto the Po Plains, helping to force the final surrender of all German forces in Italy.
