Here we see a captured Mitsubishi J2M3 Model 21 in US colours from the left, with the pilot giving some idea of the stubby looking appearance this fighter. This version of the aircraft was armed with two 20mm cannon in each wing, with the inner cannon jutting out from the wing and the outer one fully contained within it.
