Barbed Wire on Mareth Line
This rather obviously staged photo shows British troops advancing alongside some of the barbed wire that protected the Mareth Line, where Rommel's retreat from Libya ended. Note the drop to the left of the soldiers and the rise to their right, a sign of the more difficult terrain encountered in Tunisia (North African Campaign)
